Last Sunday the 6th of July witnessed some great results for AIT athletes at the National Outdoor Junior and U-23 Championships. Seven athletes from the institute competed and five claimed medals.

Sean Donegan of Tullamore Harriers won the U-23 mens 400m title in 51.39.

Louise Holmes of Kilkenny City Harriers A.C. claimed Silver in the U-23 womens 400m with a PB of 59.07

Conor George Wilson from Menapians A.C. won Silver in the mens u-23 200m in a time of 22.16

Dervail Foley from Tralee Harriers A.C. won a bronze in the womens Pole Vault with a height of 2.20m

Sinead Touhy from Athenry A.C. was the winner of bronze in the womens high jump with a jump of 1.60m

CJ Isayas of Athlone IT A.C. clocked an ever improving 2:02.67 in the 800m

Liam Brady from Tullamore Harriers A.C. showed signs of coming into form by running 15:26.98 in the mens U-23 5,000m
